How Do I Schedule a New Patient Appointment?

Our scheduling coordinators are happy to answer your questions, help you find an appointment that works with your schedule, and walk you through what to expect at your first visit.
Once your appointment is scheduled, we’ll send you a link by text or email to complete your new patient paperwork online before your appointment.
Completing your paperwork ahead of time allows our team to prepare for your visit. When applicable, we can also work on verifying your dental insurance benefits and requesting current X-rays from your previous dental office, so we have as much information as possible before you arrive.
What Happens During a New Patient Dental Exam?
If you are establishing care with Saving Smiles Dentistry, your first visit will typically begin with one of our hygienists.
Your hygienist will take the time to get to know you, listen to any concerns you have about your teeth or gums, and learn about your goals for your oral health.
From there, your dentist will complete a comprehensive dental exam. Dr. Johnson, Dr. Kenny, or Dr. Ensrude will evaluate your overall oral health, answer your questions, and discuss any areas that may need attention.
We believe you should understand your dental health and your options. If treatment is recommended, we will explain what we see, why treatment may be beneficial, the risk of not completing recommended treatment, and discuss your options with you.
Your hygienist will also evaluate your gum health and determine which type of dental cleaning is appropriate for you. Not every patient needs the same type of cleaning, and we want to make sure your hygiene appointment is personalized to your specific needs.
What If I’m a New Patient With a Toothache or Dental Problem?
You don’t always get to choose when you need a dentist.
If you are a new patient experiencing tooth pain, sensitivity, a broken tooth, or another dental concern, you can still contact Saving Smiles Dentistry. We can begin with a limited dental exam focused on the area causing you trouble.
The dentist will evaluate the problem, discuss what they find, and recommend the appropriate treatment.
If there is enough time and the treatment is appropriate to complete during your appointment, we may be able to address the problem that same day. If additional time is needed, our scheduling team will work with you to find an appointment to complete your treatment as soon as possible.
You don’t have to wait until you have a major dental problem to find a new dentist. We’re here to help you get the care you need.
