I grew up in Fargo and graduated from Fargo South High School and Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota. I then went on to the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. I feel very fortunate to be back in Fargo and working with such a great team to provide general and cosmetic dentistry services as well as full mouth rehabilitations.
I am a member of the American Dental Association, North Dakota Dental Association, am in a SPEAR Study Club, volunteer for the Red River Dental Access Project, previously have served on the Minnesota State Community and Technical College Hygiene Program Advisory Board and am a former President of the Southeast District Dental Society.
My wife, Liz, and I have two children, James and Mara. When I’m not at the office or chasing after kids, I enjoy hunting, swimming, reading, being at the lake and spending time with family and friends.
I am originally from Sioux City, Iowa. Following high school I attended Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska for my bachelor’s degree. From there I chose to go to University of Iowa College of Dentistry in Iowa City, Iowa. While at the University of Iowa I met my wife, Sarah. We moved to Fargo from Iowa to be closer to Sarah’s family in Fergus Falls, Minnesota. I cannot be happier that we chose to move to Fargo and start our family here.
I am a member of the American Dental Association, North Dakota Dental Association, and Southeast District Dental Society. I keep pace with the most modern dental techniques and technologies by attending continuing education courses throughout the Midwest.
I intend to be very active in the Fargo community through volunteer opportunities. As a member of the Fargo, Moorhead, West Fargo Chamber of Commerce I was able to be a part of the Chamber Leadership program. The program helped me learn about the history of Fargo, how the community has evolved and how I can take an active role in making sure our community continues to thrive. I am proud of the organizations Saving Smiles supports within the Fargo Community and invite you to get involved in our community also. Together we can make our community even better.
When I am not working as a dentist or volunteering, Sarah and I enjoy spending time with our children, Lucille and Lawrence. We take long walks with our 2 dogs (a Golden Retriever and a German Shepherd), and love hosting friends and family at our home. I am an avid University of Kansas basketball fan and enjoy watching Formula One racing.
I grew up in Grafton and knew I wanted to make Fargo my forever home while attending NDSU. After graduation, I continued to pursue my childhood dream of becoming a dentist by attending Creighton University School of Dentistry in Omaha, NE. While I loved living a little farther south, I’m thrilled to call Fargo home again. I am excited to join Saving Smiles and be a part of a team that demonstrates great compassion for their patients and serves our community outside the office as well.
I am a member of the American Dental Association, North Dakota Dental Association, and the Southeast District Dental Society. I have also enjoyed keeping up on the constantly evolving practices of dentistry through my involvement in the Heartland Study Club.
My husband, Michael, and I love how much the Fargo area has to offer and think it’s a great place to start our family. We’re fortunate to have lots of family and friends nearby with whom we enjoy spending as much time as possible. We are avid board gamers and love to travel – whether that means trying a new local restaurant or hopping on a plane. When I’m not doing dentistry I can often be found scrapbooking, baking, soaking up the sunshine (when I can get it), or trying to keep up with my reading goal for the year.
